A nicely put together modern hotel in a beautiful period building. We were made to feel very welcome by everyone. I thought the breakfast could have been better, and said as much on the comment card. I received an email from the manager within a couple of days apologising and explaining the exceptional circumstances of that day. It's good to know people actually read and act upon comments made by guests. I don't hesitate to recommend the Arora to anyone visiting Manchester.

This hotel was centrally located. I did feel however that the provisions in the room were basic, one set of shampoo etc, only 2 towels, no biscuits, no remote control for the tv, and due to the shape of the room, and position of the TV, it wasn't possible to watch tv in bed. The beds/bedding were very comfy and felt luxurious, but everything else felt quite basic. I would stay there again, but only if i recieved the room at a discounted price. The staff were very helpful.

The staff in this hotel were excellent. The Assistant Manager spent lots of time talking us through the places to visit, reccommended restaurants and telephoned a few to seek out a table for us. I've stayed in 5 star Park Lane hotels and had lesser service.

Excellent, helpful staff (car hire, getting directions, recommending restaurants, help with bags, improving our room choice etc).

have stayed at the Arora on a number of occasions and have never been dissapointed. The beds and bedding are fabulously comfy. The staff are very helpful and friendly. We had breakfast for the first time this visit, we requested breakfast in bed (which you have to order before 2am) It was delivered at the time requested and it was absolutely enormous!!! Would definately recommend guests to experience breakfast, both the traditional english and the continental (which includes gorgeous danish pastries and muffins!)

I putted 4 for quality of food because of the breakfast : warm dishes (eggs-bacon, etc ...) were not that warm and it was a pain to make a toast (I never could make one).

We found having 2 double beds in our room brilliant...I didn't have to share with my husband for a change!!! It was organised, friendly and clean My only suggestion would be to move the seats in front of the reception area as when we tried to check out, people where blocking the reception area with all their bags & pushing the chairs in the way. Being pregnant also means you need a bit more room to get passed!!

Great Hotel, the room was very clean and spacious, bed was very comfy! we paid the extra for breakfast to be delivered - well worth paying - food was excellent! would definately stay at this hotel again. also felt very safe and secure - not just anybody can wander around - to access different floors only a lift can be used and only hotel users can use them with a swipe card given.

Hotel is situated right in city centre and provides easy access to most venues (we were attending a conference at the GMex). Room was good with two very comfortable double beds although this did make it seem a little narrow. Our room was at the back of the hotel and consequently very noisy in the early hours when the bin men were emptying rubbish in the back lanes. Bathroom was big with great power shower and heated towel rails. The reception staff were the most friendly and the most helpful of any hotel I have stayed in. Nothing was too much trouble. Any request was answered immediately and then checked to see it had been done. The buffet breakfast included in room price was first class and it was obvious good ingredients had been used. A class above the usual soggy offerings. Where else would you get the chance to eat muesli with flaked almonds and white choc chips followed by the most fabulous full english! Or smoked salmon if you prefer? All in all an excellent stay and I would definitely recommend this hotel to friends, if not for the food then for their excellent staff.

I used the hotel as I was working in Manchester. After arriving at 9:00 at night to the hotel, all I wanted was some food and a bed. I ordered room service, but this did not arrive, even after three phone calls to them. I went to bed hungry and annoyed.

Has potential to be a very good hotel but management have cut costs on too many silly small items!

breakfast was the worse thing about the hotel. There was no organisation and the service wasnt good in the breakfast area, noone had replaced food they had ran out of etc and there was no eggs other than scrambled which people werent eating. There was no mushrooms eiither.

This is a superb hotel. I would have no qualms receommending this hotel to anybody. The only minor problem we had on check in was we were booked in for 2008 instead of 2007! This was soon rectified and with much apologising. When I requested more milk for drinks in our room, we were provided with a jug of fresh milk instead of the small cartons usually provided.
