Excellent, we would go back in a heartbeat. 4 blocks from the empire state building, thus close to everything. Great service, comfy bed and kitchen, plus close to all amenities. Well worth it.

Liked the location - easy to walk to Empire State and 5th Avenue. Nice rooms but had a king bed, they have limited rooms with 2 beds in them. Very clean and friendly staff.

Second visit to this hotel was better than first although a little more $$'s. Larger than typical, clean, comfortable bed. Quick taxi ride to/from LGA. Great location if you like walking in to the office. Will continue to use for work or vacation. Rare Bar & Grill has great NY feel. No problem this visit.

The room was large and included a small kitchette. The bathroom was small, however. Staff was very nice, helpful. We were pleased with the value.

We had a perfect stay. Really never spoke with employees much. The room & hotel were absolutey fine. Clean. Nothing too fancy. Convenient (5 short blocks to Grand Central) Near a lot of restaurants if needed. Less expensive than every other hotel I checked out. The gym in the basement is VERY nice!

Shelburne Murray Hill is a great property - very nice, clean and comfortable. Location is ideal. Nice neighborhood. Food - delis, diners and restaurants nearby. Transportation - subway stops, busses and of course, taxis all very convenient.

Stayed for one night prior to departing on a cruise. We had one bedroom suite with nice king bed. Two TVs. Very good value for the money. Even though we had luggage we walked from Penn Station and later (without luggage) walked to Time Square (although the kids got tired and we cabbed back). Neighbourhood is safe. Really nice Italian restuarant right around the corner called Sam's. Next day we walked to Empire State Building - then Central Park. By then (over 30 blocks) kids were tired and again we cabbed back. Nice hotel and would stay there again.

Great value for the money, considering it's midtown location. We had 2 queen size beds and plenty of room. The small kitchen also came in handy. Only negative was the small bathroom. Friendly staff, great location and very good on-site restaurant.

Our first trip to NY in 9 years was a delight! We found our cute hotel under an awning that said Shelburn. The efficient and friendly doorman had a dapper hat on. The check-in process was quick and painless. Our living room overlooked the Empire State Building! Yes, I said living room. This suite was so roomy, that our 2 giant teenage sons and we 2 parents had all the room we needed to spread out, relax, eat and sleep! Very clean, first class establishment. Walking distance to many attractions and dining establishments. We will definitely return to this lovely hotel!

Had the best experience. The room(s) were huge, clean and the location was great. The staff could not have been nicer. Totally helpful and willing to go the extra mile. This suite was actually bigger than the condo we had a Sunday River in Maine the week before at half the price per night.

Extremely generous full-service rooms. Very friendly and courteous staff; quiet and great value. Extremely easy to stay organized with a family from the separate coat closet to the full kitchen and the medicine cabinets in the bathroom. A TV in the bedroom as well as in the sitting area makes it easy to keep everyone happy - especially early risers. Desk was a god size for laptop and work space, too.

Because of scaffolding, the facade of the building looked nothing like the photos, but we thought it was a great place. The staff was friendly, responsive to requests, and helpful with directions. Walking distance to lots of tourist highlights and only a few blocks from the subway. It was nice and quiet for sleeping at night in a comfortable bed. Liked the kitchenette, although we didn't really make use of it. We'd stay here again!

I was pleased with my hotel stay. This is an older, but very nicely appointed hotel. The rooms are large and well kept. I enjoyed the reading lounge area downstairs. My room was in the back and was quiet, without the street noise that one often gets in New York.

Great location; warm, hospitable and helpful staff. Room was very comfy. Bathrooms and carpet need modernizing. The room was very quiet. I would stay there again and recommend it to others.

A definite bargain and well worth the cost. Besides that they let us check in early (12 noon) and we were surprised at the size of the room. (bigger then we expected). Location wise it is within an easy walking distance of shopping and the theaters. the jazz quartet in their lounge was also an added treat. I definitely would stay there again
